meet emily
There was no other option after I shot my first wedding. This was going to be my job. Period.
I'm the main face you'll see throughout your experience. I take the meetings, shoot the engagements, run lead on the wedding day, tell all the dumb jokes, and do all of the editing. I may or may not fall on occasion.
I started out with video in 2012, but quickly fell in love with photography as well. I love doing both because each captures your wedding in such a unique way. But the coolest part of my job is that I get to meet people and see new places I wouldn't otherwise.
EMILY SCHUTZ

Outside of work I'm married to my best friend and favorite person, Adam, and we just had a baby girl named Eleanor. We spend almost all of our time in our little house watching TV and playing video games with our two cats and husky-mix. When we do leave we love hanging with our family, traveling, going to concerts, eating lots of food, and drinking White Claw in a pool. Pretty standard stuff.
I work with a number of people who back me up, most notably Adam. He helps me with a lot of the grunt work on wedding days (he says 80% of his job is carrying things) so I can focus on being creative and giving you the best experience! He also plays a huge part behind the scenes, taking care of everything from backing up your photos and videos, to audio engineering. Basically, anything I need help with, he does.

Weddings are so fun and I'm honored to be a part of the champagne toasts, the first looks, the grandparent hugs, and the crazy dance moves. My marriage, family, and friends are the best and most important things in my life and I know how much yours mean to you. I will put the same care and attention into documenting your day as I would my own - down to the very last detail.
