I have so much to say about this day I'm not sure how I'm going to sum this all up. I think the root of the matter is that the weather threw everything at us on their wedding day. One of the worst weather days i've seen in my career. But these two were all smiles, roll with the punches, so stoked to be getting married it didn't matter. Their huge wedding party speaks volumes. Their extensive guest list of friends & family who were clearly over the moon to be celebrating with them. All of it
I must address their first look. There seemed to be a gap in the weather, and deviating from the original plan of doing the first look outside of the hotel would have added on a lot of time when we could be party bussing around to take portraits. We all decided to move forward with Plan A for the first look and move on from there. Well, right at that moment the weather got insane, Sarah's veil blew off and the wedding party had to run to catch it, and the real first look truly happened on the party bus when we ran for shelter. Definitely memorable..
Notably, I will say that I see a lot of weddings obviously lol. The ceremony isn't often the thing that sticks out most in my mind when I reminisce about a day. That isn't to say that most ceremonies aren't incredible, but to emphasize how much theirs has stuck with me. It was the most beautiful juxtaposition of beauty, love, humor, and genuine togetherness I've ever seen and I'm so glad I was there to witness it. .
