Carin, James, Beth and Justin all decided to have a double destination wedding down in Jamaica last year! What does that even mean, you ask? Their original email said that each couple would have their own unique ceremony with a reception at the end that “just so happens to have two brides and two grooms!” We did exactly that =] Beth & Justin were married in the early afternoon, which Carin & James attended in normal guest attire. Then, everyone changed and we had James & Carin’s wedding in the early evening! Everything wrapped up with a combined dinner and drinks at the nearby bar.
It was such a fun and unique challenge to scout locations for two different couples to be shot back to back. I really wanted each couple to have a unique set of photos that didn’t look like duplicates of the other couple’s photos, and really spoke to each couple’s personality. The harsh, Jamaican, midday sun made this challenge even trickier! The day before the wedding, Adam and I walked around the resort and scoped out spot for probably 4 hours before I decided I was satisfied. Luckily we were able to jump in the pool after =]
Needless to say, this was a truly unique and beautiful wedding experience I will never forget!
